Production Center
Alea’s group of factories (3) is concentrated near Venice, Italy and consists of the main factory, the panel manufacturing center and the aluminum extrusions plant. The factories are entirely robotized and mechanized from the cutting machines to the packaging system. All feature the most innovative numerical control technologies available. Their overall physical plant covers approximately 270,000 square foot and employs 130 people.
 
Quality Program
Alea deploys a seven-step quality assurance program that provides a platform to the designers and suppliers in the manufacturing and design facilities so that timely delivery and impeccable design is guaranteed. Our quality program allows us to successfully manage a large number of collections, each with its own features and benefits. The quality program addresses the problems caused by defective parts while ensuring on-time delivery. This further reduces costs associated with processing, packaging and shipping.  During 2008, Alea’s defective ratio was less than 0.03%.

 

Excellence in Distribution
 
 Our lead time is 10 weeks: the production process itself is 3 to 4 weeks; shipping takes another 3-4 weeks; we add 2 weeks of cushion. Alea assumes full responsibility for the product from the time it is ordered until it is delivered at the office site, providing a risk-free approach to clients. Alea relies on a well-integrated freight network for the shipment of orders from Italy to North America. We provide free back-up inventory of replacement parts shipped overnight from our US Distribution Center to any location in the Americas.  Distribution facilities include the Alea USA Distribution Center in Miami, Florida and a reliable network of dealers across the United States.  We handle small and add-on orders with the same care and attention given to larger projects.
  
The continued success of our company is attributed to qualities of the products themselves (contemporary look, great quality and design, good value, easy of assembly) in addition to the superior customer service we provide before and after the sale. Our sales force eliminates the traditional hurdles of buying foreign furniture. We depend upon a national network of sales representatives available for on-site assistance. Our own staff at Alea USA bridges the gap between the two continents. We have a multi-lingual in-house design group that creates furniture specifications based on the client needs, and then submits the orders directly to the plant. Our turn around with estimates and drawings is usually less than 48 hours. Orders are entered immediately and clients are well informed on orders status and shipment tracking information.
